Planning a non-emergency medical ride starts with accurate details. Sharing the right information helps KAL Medical choose the appropriate vehicle, plan a realistic route, and provide the level of assistance the passenger needs.

Passenger and contact information

Provide the passenger’s full name, a reliable phone number, and the name and number of the family member, caregiver, or facility contact coordinating the trip.

Pickup and destination details

Share the complete pickup and drop-off addresses, including building names, apartment or suite numbers, entry instructions, and the appointment time. Tell us if the destination has a specific patient entrance or transportation area.

Mobility and assistance needs

Let us know whether the passenger is ambulatory or uses a wheelchair. Include the wheelchair type, any mobility device details, whether steps or ramps are present, and how much assistance is needed from the door to the vehicle.

Timing and return plan

Tell us whether the ride is one-way or round trip. If the appointment end time is uncertain, explain whether you need a scheduled return, a waiting-time request, or coordination with a facility contact when the passenger is ready.

Comfort and access notes

Share any information that may make the ride safer and more comfortable, such as a companion traveling with the passenger, extra time needed for boarding, limited walking tolerance, or important communication preferences. Please do not send confidential medical records through a general website form.

What happens next

KAL Medical reviews the request, confirms availability, and follows up with the trip plan. Because this is non-emergency transportation, call 911 or the appropriate emergency service if the passenger needs immediate medical care.
